“Join the Community” Landing Page

Objective

Build a single destination to encourage new users to join the Microsoft Business Applications Communities. The landing page will be directed at first-time visitors and present an inclusive experience showing the value of the Communities. The content will align with external marketing communications, and reflect results from user research conducted in conjunction with the design.

The page was announced at the Power Platform Community Conference in Las Vegas, encouraging attendees to learn more about the Communities and become a member.

 
    • Create a unified landing page for all of Business Applications that aligns with external marketing initiatives.

    • Focus content for first-time visitors and reduce friction to sign up.

    • Collaborate with Power Pages engineers to simplify the registration experience.

    • Understand user behavior and apply these learnings to content design for landing page

    • Conducted a comprehensive competitor audit and defined essential content criteria. 

    • Research lead for user survey.

    • Formulated a cohesive content strategy. 

    • Designed prototypes and a new UX aligned with the Fluent Design System. 

    • Collaborated with Power Pages engineering to build a unified profile registration experience.

    • Conducted accessibility audit and ensured compliance.

    • Defined the first-run experience.

    • 43% conversion rate in first 72 hours

    • Developed a survey framework that can be replicated for additional Communities outreach.

    • Aligned Communities user experience with marketing initiatives.
